In the 1950s, a dozen companies based in Perpignan imported and marketed fruits and vegetables from Algeria in addition to the department’s products. Abrupt cessation of imports in 1962.
From 1962, companies are turning to Spain to start a new marketing flow and start importing citrus fruits. Business is growing, traffic is becoming too important for downtown Perpignan and importers buy the land of Mas Saint-Charles in 1965 to settle there.
1970, the first warehouses are born, the area is fenced, it is accessed by a toll. The official inauguration took place in January 1971.
